St johns ambulance service is excellent for youths age between the ages 10 to 18 yrs old they also have junior st johns called badgers ages7 to 11 . My son has learned so many valuable lessons and life skills. He gets to earn his grand prior award buy doing the necessary certificates such as leadership training which is either a weekend away camping or at a local unit both on a Saturday and Sunday where you drop your child off each day. The cadets also have the chance to attend events as a st johns ambulance member helping out with first aid for whomever may need it. It is also as a charity not expensive to send your child you are able to choose between paying monthly or yearly which ever suits you best uniform is available to order through the unit prices for the uniform is also reasonable price. And for any child who wishes to go on to working in the health sector this is a very good starting point as you learn the basics about health conditions such as diabetes and epilepsy etc and the best first aid possible anyone could ever learn..
