"Dry as a bone"

I purchased a Crossroads Cottage Bakery so called Christmas cake bar.

It was so dry it crumbled when I cut into it & tasted like sawdust.

Never again.

It was dated 2022 from what I could make out as the print was illegible.

Dread to think what it would have tasted like if I waited until then..
